Code Hypothesis Hackathon Has Started – Here’s How It Works

Hello,

Welcome to Code Hypothesis, part of the Grand Indian Hackathon Season. The hackathon has officially started.

This is not a typical startup pitch event. Code Hypothesis is about testing wild ideas. You begin with a hypothesis – a strange theory or question. For example:

  • Can a dating app work without pictures?

  • Can news spread online without outrage?

Your job is to test that hypothesis. Build something – an app, a website, a no-code prototype, or even a hacked-together demo – that puts your idea to the test.

When you submit, your write-up should include:

  1. Your hypothesis (the question you wanted to test).

  2. How you tried to test it.

  3. What worked and what didn’t.

  4. The final outcome (proved, disproved, or somewhere in between).

You don’t have to be perfect. What matters is that you tried to prove a point.

Submit your project on Devpost with:

  • A link to your build (GitHub or no-code prototype).

  • Your short write-up.

  • (Optional) A two-minute demo video.

The hackathon runs for 24 hours, ending on September 28 at 11:59 PM IST.

Good luck, and remember: this is about testing ideas, not pitching them.
